DESCRIPTION
KODO – Mondo Head released in 2002 by Red Ink (Label co-owned by Sony Music and RED Distribution). Kodo marked its 20th anniversary by approaching Mickey Hart, a former member of the legendary American rock band Grateful Dead and an international authority on percussion, to produce their next album. Steering away from conventional recording methods, Hart brought Kodo and an array of guest artists from around the world together in his studio, resulting in over 20 hours of improvised group collaboration. Crafted into a truly original album, Mondo Head is a realm filled with rhythms unlike anything Kodo had created to date.
