Blue Coast Collection 1 released in Hybrid multichannel SACD. Album features exceptional acoustic recordings performed live in the studio without the use of headphones, overdubs or digital effects. Cookie Marenco, Label founder, and five time Grammy-Nominated producer/engineer, assembled a cast of world-class performers, engineers and technicians familiar with her passion for audio excellence and appreciation of skilled musicianship.

On the Blue Coast Collection 1, Lilianna explodes with each Flamenco strum, accenting Jason McGuire’s warm nylon string guitar. Reflections bounce off the back wall while Jose Manuel Blanco’s vocals extend the dynamics to new heights. Tony Furtado’s slide guitar expands across the soundstage on the track Tamalpais, with each nuance of the raspy slide ever so present. Check out the subtle movement of his fingers across the fret board and catch the shimmering vibrato like ending.

Blue Coast Records was founded by producer/engineer Cookie Marenco and French engineer Jean Claude Reynaud in 2007. The label is known for using the Direct Stream Digital hi-resolution format, using the labels’ proprietary recording technique Extended Sound Environment (E.S.E.) It developed by legendary recording engineers Cookie Marenco and Jean-Claude Reynaud. E.S.E recordings go directly to DSD or analog tape while musicians perform live in the studio without the use of headphones or overdubs. Hand-made cables, modified preamps and carefully chosen microphones are also part of the recording requirements.
