Holly Cole – Temptation was first released in 1995 by Blue Note and Analogue Productions has remastered the recording at Coherent Audio for a new 2-channel SACD. Album is her musical tribute to the writings of Tom Waits. The album is considered to be perfect in every production detail, from Cole’s superb vocal performance to the incredibly natural sound recorded by producer Craig Street’s team. the music now flows more effortlessly, bass is more commanding on the SACD’s DSD tracks, you can now hear the vibration of the strings. … Cole’s voice is farther out into the room, and the touch of reverb added to it is clearer.
On Holly Cole – Temptation album, in addition to piano and bass, there are drums and guitar, as well as the occasional contribution from The Canadian Brass and harmonica player Howard Levy, album reasserts Cole’s talent.
